School assignment

Highschool Assignment: Market Garden Paper(schoolyear 2010-2011)
We are Suzanne van Asselt and Désiree Hulst. This year we met our qualifications for High School (Atheneum). For the exame we had to make a paper.

Our paper was about the liberation of the Netherlands. We dived into the history of the Netherlands during World War 2. We have made a report of about 60 pages, describing the local history. We have done this by answering various sub-questions. In total we have spend 100 hours.

We have also created a website with the sub-questions of our work. We wanted to reach more people, especially young people, for that reason we created the website. By telling the story in our onw language, it is understandable for children and young people. The site contains a variety of educational resources to create a better image of the war.

Making this paper and website has given us a clear picture of the Netherlands in the second world war. We have learned a lot from it. It was especially interesting to study our city during that period. We have a clear picture of it since.
