Diorama 88mm Gun

On 7 May 2011, Anne de Jong from Ouderkerk aan de IJssel has donated the diorama he made of an 88mm gun, to the Wings of Liberation museum.

At first, this 1:35 scale model is put on display in the donations showcase. Eventually it will get a place next to the real, fully restored gun. The gun in the diorama is modeled after the one that was put out of action at Son, which was often pictured with the gun pointing upwards.

The diorama (25*20 cm) shows Private Lindsay posing for a picture with his comrades in front of the gun, after he put it out of action with his bazooka. As the pictures here clearly show, his comrades are proud and thankful for his actions.

As you can imagine, it took Anne many hours to build.
