Donations On regular basis people donate items to Museum Wings of Liberation. Often these items are found during a cleanup of the attic of Grandpa or Grandma. We keep you informed about donations to our museum through our donation pages. Read on....

Autumn holidays? During the Autumn holidays we had extra activitities for the kids. They could search the museum for items that did not belong there or, if they wanted to learn more about WWII, we had a quest on the subject waiting for them. Plus, from 25-10 until 30-10, they couldalso go flightsimming every day from 1 pm - 4.30 pm! Read on....

Wreath-laying ceremony at the Scottish monument in Best The liberation of Best was commemorated on 24 October near the Scottish monument, located in the Koetshuistuin in the centre of the city. The monument was erected in 1994 to commemorate that Best was liberated by the 15th Scottish Division. Read on.....

Remember September On 17 and 18 September 2011 Museum Park Wings of Liberation commemorated the liberation of the South of The Netherlands, 67 years earlier through operation Market Garden. In spite of a dismal weather forecast, both Saturday and Sunday were sunny and dry, perfect for these festivities! Read on.....

Workshop update It's been quite a while since we updated this page with what is going on at the workshop and the start of a new project seems like a good moment to do just that. The project focuses on restoring our Russian T-34 tank. If it looked anything like the picture (from April 1991, when we acquired it), it might have sufficed to touch up the paint and grease the hinges, but as most of you who work on projects like this know, that is rarely the case. Come fly with us during the Summer Holidays From 17 July through 28 August our (young) visitors have the chance to come and fly with us on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 13.00 until 17.00. Go flight simming on a mega large screen and take a look at Eindhoven from the sky.

Film shoot at the Wings of Liberation museum On Sunday 19 June, director and crew of the movie 'Strike at Dawn' have been at our museum to shoot some scenes, using our Dakota 'Darlin Dorien' and the C-47 cockpit 'Ship266' as the perfect and ready-made stage set. Classic Cars exhibition From 2 until 5 June you can feast your eyes on a plethora of classic cars at our museum. The event has been organized by Harrie Geeris to celebrate his 50th anniversary in the classic car business. Some 40 cars will be on display in front of the Wings of Liberation museum, most of them Jaguars, Harrie's great passion. Read on.....

Additional exhibition at the Veldhoven library In addition to 'The Forgotten War', a second exhibition was set up at the public library in Veldhoven, focusing on Veldhoven and its environs during WWII. Both exhibitions ran until the middle of May 2011 and attracted many visitors. Read on.....

Go on a quest or fly a plane during Spring Break Throughout the Spring break from 30 April through 8 May our (young) visitors had the chance to come and fly with us! Starting daily at 12.00 AM, they could go flight simming on a mega large screen and take a look at Eindhoven from the sky. Alternatively, they could go on a quest (together with their parents) and discover a little bit of the history of the Netherlands hidden in our museum. Read on.....

National Museum weekend During the national museum weekend on 2 and 3 April 2011, visitors could take a tour in old military vehicles that would take them from the museum grounds to the drop zones at the Sonse Heide (now called the Sonniuswijk). Part of the program was a visit to the Paulushoef, a farmhouse that served as the focal point for landing the allied forces in 1944. Read on.....

Upper primary school pupils of 'OBS de Uilenspiegel' in Boekel experience WWII We (group 6-7-8 B of 'OBS de Uilenspiegel' in Boekel) worked on a project about the Second World War. It was very interesting and made even more special by the Wings of Liberation museum. This project made us feel like we we actually lived at the time of the Second World War! Read on.....
